Language, literacy and communication are very important skills to access all areas of learning.
English is the main language we learn and we look at reading, writing, speaking and listening. There are many different games and activities that they can use and play to help to embed and improve these skills. Some are listed below.
We also use Welsh as much as possible in the school day and a Helpwr Heddiw is chosen each day in class. They have a special role within the class to encourage incidental Welsh and lead Welsh games.
We will be covering a range of topics throughout the year in Welsh and applying these to all areas of our learning and using these sentence patterns in our other lessons as much as we can.
